A profound poem written by the nun Zorica (Teodosia) Laţcu and chanted by the nuns of the Diaconesti convent, Romania.
Remember them O, Lord, when you come,
Into the Kingdom of Your Holy Glory!
Those who have fallen in battle across the centuries
For the triumph of the most honored Cross,
Those who in the moment of their death
Had in mind the Name of the most blessed Trinity,
And those who longed for
The glory and crown above the mind,
Remember them O, Lord, when you come,
Into the Kingdom of Your Holy Glory.
All the Martyrs of the Nation, Heroes,
Warriors with the sword or with the holy prayers,
All those who today are praying for us,
And quickly and mysteriously deliver us from temptations,
And all those who for their nation,
Lived in prisons like in some graves,
Remember them O, Lord, when you come,
Into the Kingdom of Your Holy Glory. All our devout and holy nation
Voivodes and nobles, boyars and princesses,
All who sleep with their body in this land
Inside the borders of our most beautiful country,
Our fathers and dear brothers
Who went up to heaven,
Remember them O, Lord, when you come,
Into the Kingdom of Your Holy Glory. And all those who in obscurity
Died in time of harsh persecutions,
Those who today still are unknown
And in churches don’t have services and canons,
All the saints that only You know
And whose name only You remember,
Remember them O, Lord, when you come,
Into the Kingdom of Your Holy Glory.
