In this rare video recording, Saint Ephraim of Katounakia (Katounakiotis) talks about a vision of Christ he had on Mount Athos. St. Ephraim was a disciple of St. Joseph the Hesychast. Elder Joseph of Vatopedi speaks at the beginning and at the end of the video.

[St. Ephraim of Katounakia]: I was climbing four times to St. Basil. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays.
[Elder Joseph of Vatopedi]: Fourty years we were together. We lived together. He was living in Katounakia [Mt. Athos], but we were so united and loved. He was not more than 15-18 years in Mt. Athos and he acquired the gift of clairvoyance, foresight, prophecy.
[St. Ephraim of Katounakia]: Thanasis was the doorkeeper. I told him, “I want to see the Elder” [must be St. Joseph the Hesychast]. “Okay” [he answered]. He goes into the Elder’s room. “The priest is here and wants to see you.” “Bring him in. Bring him in.” I went in and sat down. He says to me, “What is it?” I answered, “Let me gather myselg a bit and I will tell you, I will tell you… I sat down. I said, “Elder while I was praying, I saw, at a distance, ten meters, and they were coming… three men… three men were coming. When they came, I didn’t move at all. They came in front of me, I opened my arms… and I kissed the one in the middle [Christ].”
The Elder was overjoyed. “Now you will see what Grace means. Now you will see the fruit of your labors. From now on… Father Arsenios… run.”
“I remember those things and I am comforted.”
[Elder Joseph of Vatopedi]: He received those things from the Elder [St. Joseph the Hesychast]. He, himself, admits that. This Grace was given to him by the Elder.
