So move your mind away from the little things, which, however, are the images of other infinite things, this is what we need to do. In the fifth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew there are many words of Christ, completing the law of Moses: “It was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill. (…) But I say unto you … (…) It was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery. (…) But I say unto you …”, and so on. And each time, starting from the commandments of the Old Testament, He passes to the infinite meaning of each of them.
