The Sunday after Easter is the eighth day of the paschal celebration, called the Antipascha. The scripture reading from Acts presents the miraculous liberation of the Apostles from the prison by the angel commanding them:

“speak to the people all the words of this life.”

Now, it is easy to connect this miraculous liberation of the Apostles with the life of our Father Roman Braga (☦April 28, 2015), former spiritual father at the Holy Dormition Monastery, in Rives Junction, MI, who suffered a lot in the communist prisons and finally he was sent to preach the Gospel on the American continent.

In this video recording he presents his experience in the communist prisons:

I forgave them at that time… when you suffer a little, you hate them… but when you suffer a lot you forgive everything… they don’t know what they are doing… (Luke 23:34).

…and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison. But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life (Acts 5:18-20).
